Kim Victoria Cattrall was born on August 21, 1956 in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. She did a series of tests with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Following her high school graduation, she went to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Her professional acting career began in 1975, making her film debut in Rosebud. She then gained recognition for her roles in the films Police Academy, Mannequin and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. On TV, she gained international stardom for her role as Samantha Jones in HBO’s Sex and the City.
Has Kim Cattrall had Plastic Surgery?
The Sex and the City star has avoided plastic surgery during the course of her acting career and continues to do so. Now 58, the actress is still saying no to cosmetic procedures as she prefers to age the graceful way. In an interview with Daily Mail, Cattrall shared about her admiration to the likes of Annette Bening and Judi Dench, who have successful careers without any surgical enhancements.
The Mannequin actress said: “I look at people like Judi Dench, who’s in her 70s, and I think, ‘What the hell am I frightened of?’ “In my life and career I want to embrace ageing because I think that’s what’s interesting.” For her, a forehead without lines doesn’t indicate that a life has been lived. Although Cattrall did admit back in 2008 to having Botox, she said she’s terrified of going farther, saying: “I don’t want to look in the mirror and not recognise who’s looking back.”
