Born Nikolina Konstantinova Dobreva, or commonly known as Nina Dobrev, was born on January 9, 1989 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She was raised in Toronto, Ontario. There, she studied sociology at Ryerson University but left to pursue acting. She had her acting classes at Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto.

She first became known in Canada for her role as Mia Jones in Degrassi: The Next Generation. After moving to the United States, she gained wider fame as Elena Gilbert in The Vampire Diaries. Her films include Chloe, The Roommate and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Even the very young and the very pretty Nina Dobrev has sparked rumors of plastic sugrery. According to some reports, the 25-year-old actress previously went under the knife for a rhinoplasty. It has been said that her present nose looks different than it did years ago. Allegedly, a tiny amount of cartilage on the tip and bridge of her nose was removed during the said cosmetic procedure, giving the actress a more refined appearance.

If the rumors were true, Dobrev’s plastic surgeon was really good as the result was flawless in a way that there is no clear sign of a plastic surgery.
