Stana Katic was born on April 26, 1978 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her family later moved to Aurora, Illinois. She returned to Canada to study at the University of Toronto. She then studied acting at the DePaul University Goodman School of Drama, and later at the Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school.
She began her professional acting career by appearing in several TV shows like Alias, The Shield, ER, 24 and many others before making her breakthrough as Detective Kate Beckett in the TV series Castle. On the big screen, she starred in Feast of Love, Quantum of Solace and The Spirit, among others.
Has Stana Katic had Plastic Surgery?
There are rumors circulating that the Castle star has had plastic surgery to drastically changed her appearance. Many viewers commented that when they watched Katic in her previous roles on various TV shows in early to mid 2000s, they weren’t able to recognize the actress as she looks totally different in the present. One prominent claim is that the 36-year-old Canadian Serbian beauty has had a rhinoplasty procedure some time before her breakthrough in Castle that dramatically changed her face from ordinary to fabulous.
Based on her old photos, Katic’s nose was wider, round at the tip and was rather too masculine that didn’t match her tiny face. After the surgery, her nose became thinner, more feminine-looking and well-defined. Prominent plastic surgeon Dr. Peter Wenkwitz supports the reports as he also believes that Katic has had a nose job, which he thinks was successfully executed as it highly improved the rest of the actress’ facial features.
