Jacob Benjamin “Jake” Gyllenhaal was born on December 19, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. The son of director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner, he was exposed to films at an early age, starting to act at age 10. His first lead role was in 1999’s October Sky. He later gained further fame for his role in 2001’s Donnie Darko.
He achieved international stardom for his role in 2004’s The Day After Tomorrow. He has since starred in major films, including Jarhead (2005), Love and Other Drugs (2010), Source Code (2011), and End of Watch (2012). He won critical acclaim as Jack Twist in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain.
Has Jake Gyllenhaal had Plastic Surgery?
It has been rumored that the Brokeback Mountain star has had plastic surgery to achieve his now leading-man look. According to reports, Gyllenhaal is one of those actors in Hollywood who went under the knife for a rhinoplasty procedure. Based on his old photographs, the actor’s nose was wide and round. His present nose, however, looks slimmer, with a narrower tip, giving him a sharper and a well-defined look.
Some experts like Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer seemed to agree with such claims, saying that that 33-year-old actor is flaunting an improved-looking nose. It can also be noticed that the tip of his nose has been narrowed and further defined. The doctor also added that the change in his nose gave him a more sculpted appearance.
