Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on October 5, 1975 in Reading, Berkshire. She studied drama during her childhood and eventually started a career in British television. Her film debut was in 1994’s Heavenly Creatures and continued to gain substantial recognition for her role in 1995’s Sense and Sensibility.
Her leading role in 1997’s Titanic brought her to international stardom, which was followed by other prominent movies such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Neverland, The Reader and Revolutionary Road.
Has Kate Winslet had Plastic Surgery?
It’s not unknown that Winslet is against plastic surgery. She’s so against it that she formed the “British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League”, along with fellow British stars Rachel Weisz and Emma Thompson. However, tension escalated when Winslet herself was accused of undergoing a nose job, contradicting her stance against plastic surgery.
Her original nose was not as sharp-looking as it is now. The bridge was also a bit asymmetrical but it can be observed that it’s been corrected now. Although there are those saying that the difference may be a result of make-up and lighting, others aren’t that convinced, believing that the transformation is too refined and seems permanent. Winslet, however, chose to stick with her anti-surgery claim and ignored such rumors.
