Kyra Minturn Sedgwick was born on August 19, 1965 in New York City, New York. She attended University of Southern California, where she graduated with a degree in theater. She initially made her acting debut at age 16 in the soap opera Another World.
On the big screen, she first gained recognition when she played Donna in 1989’s Born on the Fourth of July. She has since starred in such films as Singles, Phenomenon, Labor Pains, The Game Plan, and many others.
