Laurie Holden was born on December 17, 1969. She first attended McGill University to study economics and political science. Wanting to pursue acting further, she moved to the University of California, Los Angeles. There, she studied film and theater. She initially started her acting career as a child. In 1980, she made her acting debut in the miniseries The Martian Chronicles. In 1989, she had a notable appearance in the movie Physical Evidence. In the ’90s, she acted in some films and guest-starred in a couple of TV shows.
Her first remarkable role on the small screen was as Marita Covarrubias in The X-Files. At the same time, she also played Mary Travis in the TV series The Magnificent Seven. In 2001, she gained wider popularity for starring as Adele Stanton in the movie The Majestic. She later starred in the films Bailey’s Billion$, Fantastic Four, Silent Hill, and The Mist. In 2008, she played Olivia Murray in the show The Shield. From 2010 to 2013, she became known for her role as Andrea Harrison in The Walking Dead. Her latest role on TV was as Renee in The Americans.
Has Laurie Holden had Plastic Surgery?
The 48-year-old actress apparently nears her 50s but it certainly doesn’t show. As a matter of fact, Holden looks younger than her actual age. There have been minor changes in her appearance as far as aging is concerned. She actually looks even greater. Could this be because of plastic surgery? It’s not surprising that many actresses and actors in Hollywood resort to cosmetic procedures to look younger. After all, they’re performers and they need to make sure that they look great.
Could this be the case behind The Walking Dead star’s youthfulness? Botox, maybe? Looking at her face, it doesn’t look like she’s had any major surgeries done such as a nose job. Her facial features remain the same, except for some enhancements like the flawlessness of her face and the absence of lines and wrinkles considering her age. If Holden has had Botox to hide the signs of aging, the results are quite subtle!
