Marisa Tomei was born on December 4, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York. She studied at Boston University but only stayed there for a year. Her acting career began in the soap opera As the World Turns. In the mid 1980s, she appeared in some films before rising to prominence for her role in 1992’s My Cousin Vinny, for which she won an Oscar.
She has since starred in several prominent movies, including Slums of Beverly Hills (1998), What Women Want (2000), In the Bedroom (2001), Anger Management (2003), Wild Hogs (2007), Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead (2007) and The Wrestler (2008), among others.
Has Marisa Tomei had Plastic Surgery?
49-year-old actress Marisa Tomei is one year shy of 50 and it may be hard to believe for many because it appears that she still looks the same from when she came to stardom in the early 1990s. Because of her youthful appearance, some has speculated that her great look is due to plastic surgery, which could have helped her maintain her glow and stop the signs of aging from being visible. But according to some observers, although Tomei looks significantly younger then her actual age, she doesn’t show any signs of undergoing cosmetic procedures and is actually considered as a fine example of natural beauty.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden agreed that Tomei’s appearance seems natural, thanks to her great skin, which could be attributed to her Italian genes. She said that people with healthy skin and thick dermis don’t display signs of premature aging such as wrinkles, in addition to healthy lifestyle. And although Dr. Walden doesn’t think Tomei has had Botox, she thinks she may have a conservative rhinoplasty procedure in the past, judging from her more refined tip and narrower bridge.
