Shruti Rajalakshmi Haasan was born on January 28, 1986 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her parents are actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. She focused on studying cinema and music, traveling to the US to attend the Musicians Institute in California. She made her acting debut in 2009’s Luck.
She then gained mainstream recognition for her roles in the 2011 films Anaganaga O Dheerudu (Telugu) and Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji (Hindi). She has since rose to wider prominence for her roles in the Telugu movies Gabbar Singh, Balupu, as well as in the Hindi films Ramaiya Vastavaiya and D-Day.
Has Shruti Haasan had Plastic Surgery?
The actress created much noise when she admitted to undergoing a nose job just after her acting debut in 2009’s Luck. Although other celebrities have also gone under the knife for a rhinoplasty procedure, none of them were actually truthful enough to confirm what they’ve cosmetically done. Unlike Haasan who had no qualms in telling the world that she indeed underwent a cosmetic procedure, making this confession much more intriguing among gossipers as some have argued that it was a wrong move for the actress.
She then came under fire for going under the knife for a nose job despite her not needing one. Even though many people questioned the actress’ intention of undergoing this procedure, Haasan had said that the surgery on her nose actually helped her solve breathing problems while at the same time toning it down to match her girl-next-door-face, giving her a more refined nose and well-defined look. Whether the nose job was the right or the wrong thing to do, Haasan seems to not have any regrets with her decision. Her acting career is still on the rise with lots of upcoming films in the next years to come.
