Sridevi Kapoor, also known as Sridevi, was born on August 13, 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India. She made her acting debut at age four in the Tamil movie Thunaivan. She has since continued to perform as a child actress in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films.
At age 12, she made her Bollywood debut in 1975’s Julie, which was a hit. She portrayed her first mature role in the film Moondru Mudichu. She rose to further mainstream stardom for roles in such movies as Solva Sawan, Himmatwala, Mawaali and Sadma, among others.
Has Sridevi had Plastic Surgery?
Sridevi is considered as the first female superstar in Bollywood. With the films she has made over the years, it’s no wonder at all. However, being a veteran actress that she is, Sridevi still wasn’t able to escape some of the implications of being famous – rumors, plastic surgery rumors to be exact. For many years, reports of the star undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure have been prevalent and rampant, though the actress has since denied each one of them.
In 2012, in an interview to talk about her comeback film English Vinglish after a 15-year hiatus, Sridevi also talked about the rumors. When asked if the rumors are true, the actress said: “No, I haven’t. I want to tell these people that instead of whining and criticising, why don’t you move out of your comfort zone, zip your mouth and slog it out? Then let’s talk! There will be a visible change not just in your appearance, but also in your attitude.”
