She subsequently released her debut album Sweet Kisses. This was followed by the single “Irresistible”, which is also the name of her second studio album.

She achieved further international stardom upon the release of her third album In This Skin, which became her best selling album worldwide. She also ventured into acting, appearing in such films as The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) and Employee of the Month (2006).

Simpson’s plastic surgery activities have sparked interest among fans and critics alike. In an interview with Glamour in 2006, she admitted to having something done to her face. According to the singer-actress, she had tried Restylane, which reduces wrinkles and fine lines. It also creates fuller lips, enhance the skin’s quality and accentuate contours.

Simpson, however, was not pleased with the result of the treatment, prompting her to discontinue. When asked about the experience, she said: “It went away in like four months…[but] thank God! [They] looked fake to me. I didn’t like that.”

Although she only confessed to trying Restylane, observers are convinced she had more than that. One persistent rumor is that of a breast augmentation, which began to surface after she stepped out with a seemingly larger breasts. Others attributed this change to her gaining weight but there were claims that signs of an operation was evident.
