Kirstie Louise Alley was born on January 12, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas. She studied at the University of Kansas. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue Scientology and work as an interior designer. During this time, she appeared as a contestant in the game show Match Game. She then made her film debut in 1982’s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
She made her TV breakthrough when she landed the role of Rebecca Howe in the TV series Cheers, a character she played from 1987 to 1993. She rose to worldwide stardom when she starred opposite John Travolta in 1989’s Look Who’s Talking.

Kirstie Alley is now 62. It may be hard to believe, but yes, the Look Who’s Talking star is now in her 60s. After all these years of facing various plastic surgery rumors, the movie actress turned reality star is still adamant that she hasn’t had any plastic surgery. In an interview with Howard Stern on his radio show in 2013, Alley said: “I don’t have any surgery. I don’t think you should be filling your face. I don’t do any of it.” As to facelift, which many of her fellow actresses have already had, Alley said: “When you have facelifts, that’s major surgery! It’s not minor.”
She then added that she doesn’t do Botox, either, saying: “Because don’t you just think in the next 15 years, there’s gonna be a discovery that injecting botulism could have an effect?” The actress admitted that it was never easy to resist the temptation of giving in to cosmetic procedures especially when going under the knife is sometimes demanded by film or TV projects, saying: “I’ve debated… For 30 years!”
