Melissa Suzanne George was born on August 6, 1976 in Perth, Western Australia. In her native country, she’s known as Angel Parrish in the soap Home and Away. She then made her feature film debut with 1998’s Dark City, later appearing in supporting roles in The Limey (1999) and Mulholland Drive (2001).
She went on to star in lead roles in such movies as The Amityville Horror (2005), Turistas (2006) and 30 Days of Night (2007). She also gained fame for her critically-acclaimed performance in 2009’s Triangle. On American television, she’s known for her roles in Alias, In Treatment and Grey’s Anatomy.
Has Melissa George had Plastic Surgery?
The Turistas actress is not a fan of plastic surgery. In an interview, she called plastic surgery a bad plastic surgery in general, saying that whatever result it has is bad. She said that she only supports corrective surgery but not cosmetic. She also joked about why everyone wants to look like the Joker, implying how she sees fellow actors who have gone under the knife.
Not wanting to go the artificial route doesn’t mean that George doesn’t care about how she looks, because she does, not just in an invasive kind of way. According to her, although she’s against plastic surgery and vows to never have one no matter what, she believes in proper maintenance to look good, which she does by keeping a beauty regime that includes getting a chemical peel every two years. At least, she’s open to minor cosmetic enhancements.
