Rosa Maria “Rosie” Perez was born on September 6, 1964 in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York City. She was discovered by Spike Lee in a dance club, who then cast her in 1989’s Do the Right Thing, marking her film debut. She rose to wider fame in 1993 when she starred in Fearless, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
She has since starred in 1999’s The 24 Hour Woman, 2001’s Riding in Cars with Boys and 2008’s The Take, among others. On TV, she’s known for her appearances on Go, Diego, Go!, Lipstick Jungle, and In Living Color, for which she earned an Emmy nomination.
Has Rosie Perez had Plastic Surgery?
49-year-old Rosie Perez sparked rumors of plastic surgery as people still see her as the 27-year-old choreographer on the show In Living Color. Most viewers think that despite being in her late 40s, Perez doesn’t seem to significantly age, prompting them to speculate that she may have relied to plastic surgery to help her with her appearance. Either that or the choreographer/actress is just simply gifted.
Though the Fearless actress hasn’t particularly talked about her struggles with getting older and the measures she has taken to stop the aging process, she has instead talked about her consideration of getting her breasts done back in 2009. She said: “As time goes on, I will not be opposed to help them [my breasts] out a little bit.” Fans of the Lipstick Jungle star, however, expressed their disapproval, cautioning her to be careful as breast enlargement procedures can sometimes go wrong.
