She rose to international prominence in 1999 when she starred as Brandon Teena in Boys Don’t Cry, which earned her the Oscar for Best Actress. She once again achieved critical acclaim for her role as an amateur boxer in 2004’s Million Dollar Baby, for which she won her second Oscar for Best Actress.

For many of them, it symbolizes a new beginning, or a transformation into a new person.” It doesn’t seem Swank would really go for it for rebound’s sake though.
