Julie M. Benz was born on May 1, 1972 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before she began acting, she was a figure skater who competed in the 1988 U.S. Championships, finishing in the 13th place. She made her film debut in 1990’s Two Evil Eyes and appeared as Babs in the TV series Hi Honey, I’m Home!.
She then studied acting at New York University and landed guest spots in various TV shows after graduation. Her breakthrough came in 1997 as Darla in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a role she also played in Angel. Her most notable character on TV was as Rita Bennett in Dexter.
Has Julie Benz had Plastic Surgery?
The 42-year-old actress looks younger than her actual age and some people are calling her great, younger look as a product of plastic surgery. Rumor has it that the Dexter actress went for a boob job. In her previous appearances on television in the 1990s, viewers could remember that her breasts were relatively smaller back then. But after the alleged breast enlargement procedure, Benz got fuller and distinctively bigger set of breasts.
There are also reports suggesting that Benz is no stranger to Botox. Now in her 40s, it’s not surprising if the actress would want to smoothen her face and hide wrinkles and fine lines. Various claims suggest that her shiny forehead and her overall radiant, younger-looking appearance is also a clear indication that the actress really is a Botox user. Lastly, the actress also allegedly went for lip fillers as her original lips were not as full and luscious as they are now.
